Lakota Market Village
Lakota Market Village Soon to Open for Public Use The City of Lakota is excited to announce the opening of the Lakota Market Village—a new community space designed to bring activity, opportunity, and local charm to the heart of town. Located at the corner of Main Street and B Ave West (where the previous Lakota American building stood), the Market Village consists of three fully enclosed storage-style sheds, each with its own covered porch. These porches can be dressed up to match a business’s style, used as display space, or transformed into a welcoming seating area for customers. The sheds are available for rent and are perfect for a variety of uses, including small business pop-up shops, fundraising events, farmers markets, craft fairs, rummage sales, and other activities of public interest. “We wanted to create a place where ideas can take root—whether that’s a start-up trying out their first storefront, a nonprofit raising funds, or a local gardener selling produce,” said Amie Vasichek, Lakota City Auditor. “The Lakota Market Village gives our community an easy, affordable way to gather, sell, and share.” The sheds can be leased for short-term events or for longer seasonal use, making them a flexible and affordable option for vendors and organizations alike. The hope is that the Market Village will encourage entrepreneurship, support local causes, and create a vibrant, social atmosphere in Lakota. Those interested in renting a shed can contact Lakota City Hall at 701-247-2454 or stop in at 108 East B Ave, Lakota, ND for pricing and availability. The Lakota Market Village is set to become a fresh new gathering spot for our community. Stop by, take a look, and see what’s happening—you never know what treasures you might find.
