May 8, 2019 Special Meeting

The Lakota City Council held a special meeting on May 8^th, 2019, at the City Hall.  Mayor Russo called the meeting to order at 11:02 a.m. All Council Members were present.  AE2S engineer Donovan Voeller, Representatives from Caldwell Tanks Kevin Gallagher and Carter Spoelstra were in attendance.

Mr. Gallagher thanked the council for their time and stated Caldwell was awarded the bid for the water tower project and has omitted the $130,000 allowance listed as a requirement in their bid to the city.  Mr. Gallagher stated Caldwell tanks has never seen the bid form the way AE2S has laid it out.  Mr. Gallagher would like to suggest splitting the difference of the oversight with the city. 

Mayor Russo stated the bid form was not the city’s issue and if there is a problem with it, it should be brought to AE2S. 

Engineer Voeller stated he will be taking the information back to the legal department at AE2S and suggested the city’s attorney be in contact with them as well.
