Sites to see around the Area

Coming to the Lakota area for a visit?  Here are a few points of interest and things to do in the area:

  • Rock Creek Golf Course- Located 1/2 mile south of Lakota on Highway 1.  This is a 9 hole, green grass, 3,367 yard course.  For more information call 247-2580
  • Tofthagen Library & Museum- Located at 116 West B Ave in Lakota.  Features artifacts, including Sitting Bull's peace pipe.  The library is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
  • Stump Lake Park & Pioneer Village Museum.  Village includes buildings relocated from Nelson County, including 2 log cabins, church, school, railroad depot, house and barn.  In the park there is a campground, cafe, picnic shelters, playground, walking trails, miniature golf and roller skating.  For more information call 701-296-4471 or 701-296-4561.
